As the owner of the company, I am clearly interested in all aspects of the business. High on my priority list is the well-being of the team as a happy integrated team ensures we can offer a better service to our customers.
I communicate regularly with our customers and sit on the Council of INCOSE UK and the General Committee of IDLSoc, as the Head of the Secretariat. This ensures the leadership of each organisation is fully informed on the Secretariat activity but also the hot topics members are raising with us on a day to day basis.
I work with our customers to develop their policies, ensure they are legal compliant and assist in developing their strategies for growth. One of the ‘value adds’ I can bring to the discussion is the experience of other associations, allowing each of our customers to benefit from the knowledge and experience of others.
With my background in communications, I take the lead when planning major events such as the International Data Links Symposium, which includes budget planning, site surveys as well as the actual implementation and running of the shows.

I play a key role in the planning and delivery of events for our partners and participate in strategic development activities.
As Membership and Professional Development Manager at Dot-The-Eye Ltd my role manages these key areas for our partners, delivering a high level of service to them through supportive working relationships. I oversee administrative activity to ensure that the process for our individual membership societies is accessible and runs smoothly. I am also responsible for ensuring that individual members are able to access any areas of professionalization which are relevant to them including professional certification and chartership programmes, examinations and training. Along with the others in the membership and professional development team, we provide an environment for individuals to feel part of their society and supported to develop in their careers.

I am a finance professional with a broad range of experience including a variety of accounting roles within practice, the NHS and the construction industry, as well as non-financial roles in both data analysis and communications.
In my role as manager of the Business and Finance Team I draw upon this varied knowledge to help ensure that the day-to-day operations of Dot-The-Eye and its clients run smoothly, as well as look to plan, control, measure and report financial performance for key stakeholders – after all, to make the right decisions you need the right information.

My main duty is to ensure both corporate and individual society memberships are up to date. This involves issuing timely reminders, answering queries, providing relevant documentation and ensuring new memberships are approved promptly. I attend a society’s annual symposium as a member of the events team, which has taken me to countries all over the world from Abu Dhabi to Greece and the USA to name but a few.

With over 30 years spent in the IT industry in a variety of different roles, I now enjoy being a member of the Dot-The-Eye IT team where I am able to effectively use these skills in all aspects of my work.
As a Manager and Lead Developer, I play a key part in all of our projects, whether it is meeting customers to discuss their requirements, designing the technical solution, writing reliable and efficient software or providing ongoing customer support.
I always strive to develop software to a high standard and am keen to learn new technologies that could be incorporated into the solutions that we offer. This can present some challenges but can also be very rewarding too!

I coordinate all the newsletters managed by Dot-The-Eye, this includes writing articles, liaising with society stakeholders for content and formatting and designing the graphics, I designed the Dot-The-Eye team’s portraits which are featured on our website’s meet the team page. I oversee many of the society’s technical and event publications, from proof reading the initial manuscript right through to sending the finished publication to the printer. I also have a hand in writing and reviewing emailers that are sent out to members.

I had been looking for a change in career and when I saw the job advertised I knew I had
to apply. The role is just what I have been looking for and close by here in Ilminster
Having previously worked in retail and care this is all new to me, but I have found plenty of
transferable skills to help me in my role. I am also learning lots of interesting things along the way. Being in the office makes me feel part of a team that are friendly and full of knowledge. Currently at the office I am dealing
with email enquires and answering the phone. I am also sorting the mail to be posted, making sure the stationery is well stocked and anything else that comes my way.
As a busy mum to an active little boy spare time is very precious! So when I do get a
chance I like to sit down with a good book and a cup of tea. When the weather is nice we like to explore the local beaches of the Jurassic coast and the many beauty spots around Somerset.
My job revolves around the finance aspect of the business, this includes communicating with our accountant and processing a variety of different invoices for the societies including membership, event bookings and publication sales.I am also involved in facilitating a society’s council meetings this involves coordinating the catering, managing attendance, liaising with council members regarding the agenda and taking the minutes. In the office I am responsible for managing the stationery stock levels, and ensuring all letter and parcels are franked and sent out on time.

I process membership applications from start to finish; this involves ensuring new members are provided with appropriate information and documentation.
I also manage membership renewals; issuing reminders that include highlighting the benefits and incentives of membership and ensuring members have everything they need to renew their membership.
I prepare membership management retention and year on year comparison figures for a society’s council meetings, keeping them informed of membership numbers.
My responsibilities include supporting our members with the administration of their professional certification, ensuring they have access to the right information they need and communicating between all involved parties.
At Dot-The-Eye we are committed to ensuring the health and safety of our employees. I have a strong background in Health and Safety and take the lead in reviewing our Health and Safety policies, procedures and risk assessments, updating these as required as part of our continuous improvement process.
I also support any other projects that require an extra hand.
Having previously worked in both marketing and events, I have an understanding of the necessary requirements and processes to market organisations.
As Digital Marketing and Communications Lead, I manage the social media and website content for both Dot-The-Eye and its clients. I create content strategies, manage the day to day running of the different social media platforms and social interactions. I also regularly analyse and report on social media and website performance; always looking for innovative ways to increase engagements by exploring different content and posting behaviours. My main goal is to give our clients a competitive and valuable online presence.
Alongside the digital elements, I also oversee marketing and communications activities such as producing emailers, flyers, press releases and publications.

Having retired from the Communications Branch of the Royal Navy and after gaining experience in roles including training, sales and customer services, I was able to bring my skills and knowledge to Dot-The-Eye.
I work as an administrator as part of a team of friendly and highly knowledgeable people managing professional associations, providing them with the tools for success in their business sectors. My role is to ensure that individual and corporate membership applications and renewals are dealt with and recorded correctly and efficiently. I am also part of the event team helping with event registration, literature and publications.
One of the newer members of the Team, I have just moved to the area from running my own company in Lancashire, there I worked with young children and generally bounced around all day!
Now, I am loving exploring Somerset and enjoying the sunshine. (Its slightly less damp here than Lancashire). Both of my children are grown up and now at university, so the house is quieter - and tidier(!) without them.
